THE SCREENSAVER THAT APPEARS FROM THE POLICE TO SAY THE COMPUTER HAS BEEN
LOCKED AS IT HAS BEEN USED TO ACCESS ILLEGAL SITES: I
have had this happen to me as well- pretty scary as it locks down your
laptop and shows
a webcam of your room ! I
immediately realised it was a scam and managed to fix it myself by
Googling it and following the instructions. It is not an easy task and I'm
surprised I managed to get rid of it. The most important thing to learn is - make sure that you have a good anti-virus system on your computer- even the free ones work. |
