FIRST A REPORT OF A MOBILE PHONE STOLEN FROM A TABLE IN A COFFEE SHOP !  If it happens in Ascot, it could happen here !

 

28/3  Thursday 10.15 a.m.  Coffee shop, High Street, Ascot.  The aggrieved was having a coffee when a young lad came up and asked for directions.  He spread a map over the table.  When he collected it up, a mobile phone which had been sitting on the table, went with it and was stolen.  This has now been happening in all our coffee shops for over a year – can everyone be on the alert please.  The lad is described as: White, possible mid European, Short spiky black hair, late 20s, / early 30s, facial stubble, jeans, black T shirt and black jacket

2/4  Tuesday midnight / 5.34 a.m.  Belmont Road.  A van was seen entering a builder’s yard.  The padlock on the gate was forced.  Cavity wall insulation stolen.

31/3 –1/4  Sunday 3.30 p.m. / Monday 10 a.m.  Harrow Close, Furze Platt.  Car passenger window smashed – mobile phone and cash stolen.

31/3  Sunday 2 a.m. / 4 p.m.  Florence Avenue.  Car driver’s window smashed – car searched nothing stolen.

30/3 – 31/3  Saturday 6 p.m. / Sunday 10.30 a.m.  Tachbrook Close.  Car driver’s door lock forced – no entry gained.

31/3 – 1/4  Sunday / Monday  West End, Waltham St Lawrence.  Garage door damaged.  The owner believes someone has driven into it to open it.

2/4  Tuesday 10 a.m.  Stamford Road.  A van pulled up and knocked at the door.  Someone was home but chose not to answer the door.  Two men then proceeded to load a radiator from the drive and a metal garden gate onto a van and drive off.

30/3 – 2/4  School, Altwood Road.  School entered twice.  Saturday 12.41 a.m.  Alarm activated a Perspex window had been removed from the gym – 3 kids ran off.  2 fire extinguishers had been let off all around the boiler room.  Tuesday 2nd April, on a routine check a gym window had been forced – gym equipment strewn all around the floor and the grass area outside.

28/3  Thursday 11.35 p.m.  Pub, Boyn Hill Road.  A roof slate thrown through a window.

Our computer locked out, with the scam you detailed in your Alert on 27 March. 
 
It purports to come from Cheshire constabulary with a picture of ‘Hogan Howe’.  The whole thing is locked out and they want £100 to unlock it.  We unlocked it relatively quickly using this site :

However, this method only works if you've got two computers !   You need a second computer to access the Internet for the instructions to unlock the other!
