Crime: 3 May 2013

Just to let you know – I am off on Annual leave for the next 2 weeks, so messages will be a little thin on the ground.  Fortunately Crime has been extremely low of late !

A reminder that you must let us know if you find something, or even just ‘think’ something, is suspicious:

Hi,
Just wanted to run something by you.  I came home from work this afternoon, went to put something in the end barn to find a gent's bicycle has been put in there.

Someone suggested I contact the Police, but no accident has occurred, no one been hurt or anything, so I don't really want to bother the Police for what may be a minor incident.

Do let me know if you think I should contact the Police in the morning.

If this was suspicious enough to ask someone what to do – the Police should be the people to ask !  We are having loads of bikes stolen, so it may be something to do with that, it may be completely unconnected, but why was the bike placed there ?  That is a question for us to answer.  It may be part of something we are already investigating.  Please remember the jigsaw.  This may be completely insignificant to you – just a blue piece of sky – to us, it may be the very piece we have been looking for !

IF IN DOUBT PHONE 101 ANYWAY.

NEXT:

A person in Slough has reported that he had a call from the ‘Police’ telling him that his credit cards had been cloned.  If he would let them have his details, card number and security number on the back.  This he did – money was withdrawn almost immediately !  If you get one of these calls – IT IS NOT US !

DO NOT GIVE OUT ANY PERSONAL DETAILS OVER THE PHONE – EVER !

NEXT:

Nottingham Knockers in Boyn Hill Avenue and Courthouse Road.

ALWAYS, always phone us with this information as we have teams of people tracking them to see if those streets are subsequently targeted for crime in say 2 or 3 months time.  If the PEC operator is unsure what a Nottingham Knocker is – remind them they are the young lads going door to door selling household products – and – you have been asked to phone this intel though by your LPA NHW Administrator !!!

AS FAR AS WE ARE CONCERNED – EVERYBODY SAYS THE SAME THING WHEN APPROACHED:

WE DO NOT BUY GOODS AND SERVICES AT THE DOOR !
