Crime: 3 September 2013

Thank you, all those that are emailing in, or phoning through suspicious vans driving slowly around their roads, on the 101 number.  These call are proving really useful.  We have seen an increase of shed garage breaks and this is the only way, we will catch them.  Please keep phoning through details of the vans / any writing – phone numbers on the side/ date / time / direction of travel and descriptions, of anyone inside.
If you have a smartphone with a camera, simply take a photo – just in case.  Sometimes, the vans swap their index plates around and a photo, can let us know if this has happened.

Many thanks.

Pickpockets in Windsor Town Centre over the weekend, targeting mobile phones and purses.  An Iphone 5 was stolen and the aggrieved immediately turned on the tracker.  It is somewhere in the bushes on the A308 between Windsor and Egham !  If you have a Smartphone, please familiarise yourself with tracker Apps ?

Just a reminder – the Chinese scam letters are still arriving by the dozen – this time, the ones I have are from Maliq Mutu.  You can recognise them very easily, they say that you have the same last name as someone who has died there and there are millions of pounds to transfer and have a line of Chinese characters top right.

The aim of these letters is not to catch out the clever, but to self select, likely targets, from the less informed and educated.
