MEMBERS’ COMMENTS:

Hi Jeff

Many thanks for the Bike leaflet.

As a matter of interest, I cycle a good deal and at night.  I've recently bought blue neon lights that fit into your tyre valves.  These glow from the side, which is an area of the cycle not always seen by other road users.

Several pedestrians have pointed at me cycling by (!) so they must work.

Regards
Lovaine

Thanks Lovaine – other cyclists out there – please note.

SCAM EMAILS:
Hi Jeff

Just had 3 spoof Apple emails, telling me I have 48 hours to confirm my account

Regards

Rob
Many thanks Rob.  We must never rest for a moment.  Bin everything you don’t recognise.

HONG KONG SCAM LETTERS STILL GOING STRONG !
Hi Jeff,
Attached is a letter just received from Hong Kong (!?). Thought you might want to remind anyone else who's received similar, not to respond, even out of curiosity.

Malcolm

These have been sent by the million over the last 2 or 3 years.  If you get a letter with Chinese characters top right of the letter – bin it !

HORRIBLE SCAM PHONE CALLS:

Hi Jeff,
Today breaks all records - 6 calls in as many minutes. First 3 or 4 I just put the phone down, but the last 2 were a bit sinister. First a foreign woman told me my dog had died and when.  I hung up, but she rang again straight away. I hung up again.  Then a foreign man called with same theme, but this time I called his bluff and said I was ringing Police and they would trace his call.

It has worked I think, because I have not heard anything for last half hour.
Incidentally, my dog is alive and well thank goodness.

Thought you would like to know as there may be some more vulnerable people taking this to heart.

Cheers
Dave

Many thanks Dave, I am sure there are and if they get such calls, they will now be reassured.
