Crime: 28 November 2011

Good news! Very little crime reported over the weekend.

However, we are still having sheds and garages broken into.
Please have all of your tools, lawn mowers, leaf blowers etc post coded.
You can paint your postcode onto tools, in a bright – but tasteful colour. This will remove any resale value!
Also please ensure that your bikes are marked.
If you cannot do this our neighbourhood teams are offering engraving and bike marking services free of charge. Please e-mail your local neighbourhood teams (e-mails listed below) to organise this.

PINKNEYS GREEN & FURZE PLATT:
27/11 – Sunday, 12am, Wavell Road
Burglary
The home owner came downstairs and saw their security light come on in the back garden. They looked out to see a young man.
They then noticed that their sliding patio doors were open.
The young man appears to have been disturbed during his search as he left a right hand glove in the kitchen. Only one cupboard had been opened.
A neighbour also discovered that their side gate had been un-bolted from the inside.
This young man is believed to have garden hopped.
