Lead still going missing ! Eyes and ears around any building likely to have lead on its roof, or any large amounts of lead flashing please.

29/1 Sunday 7 p.m. / 7.30 p.m. Cookham Dean. 3 offenders caught on CCTV entering a garden through the hedge, carrying out 3 sets of garden tables and chairs. These were loaded onto a flatbed parked outside. Did anyone see the flatbed in the area ?
28/1 Saturday 7.45 a.m. / 1.45 p.m. Neville Close. Burglary via INSECURE rear door – mobile, sat nav, laptop, games console, jewellery, cash & video camera stolen.

28/1 – 29/1 Saturday 1 p.m. / Sunday 7 a.m. Westborough Road. Car left INSECURE – SAT NAV stolen from the glove box.
14/1 – 28/1 Westborough Road. Burglary via rear forced door – the panel was removed and placed against a garden wall. A sofa was pushed against the front door. Valuable gold jewellery stolen.
28/1 Saturday 9 p.m. / 11 p.m. Ockwells Road, Cox Green. Owner was in an outbuilding, then went back to the main house to watch TV. Later they returned to lock up the outbuilding, but their computer had been stolen.
27/1 – 28/1 Friday 7 p.m. / Saturday 10 a.m. Farmers Way, Cox Green. Car keyed.
27/1 Friday 6.15 p.m. Cadwell Drive, Cox green. Car passenger window and windscreen smashed – fishing tackle stolen.
29/1 Sunday 11.30 a.m. / 7.35 p.m. Phipps Close. Burglary via rear communal gardens. A chair was placed against a rear window which had been left INSECURE. Exit via the front door, which was left wide open. Mobile, perfume, jewellery box, cash box, camera and photos stolen. Some of these items may well be discarded nearby – can you keep your eyes open. A kitten is missing from the property – presumably it left through the front door. Have you found one nearby ?
27/1 Friday 6 p.m. Methodist Church, Woodlands Park Road. Lead stolen from the roof.

29/1 Sunday 3.30 p.m. / 4.30 p.m. Gym, Crown lane. A wallet and IPHONE stolen from a locker in the gym. Fortunately the owner activated the tracker, which he had previously downloaded and activated. It showed the phone was moving down Pearce Road. The police attended, located the phone and a man was arrested.

Email Scam

We are aware that an email entitled 'Population Census: a message to everyone - act now' is being circulated, allegedly in the name of National Statistician, Jil Matheson. This email demands individuals provide further personal information, supposedly for the Census and threatens fines for non-compliance.

This email is a scam and a hoax. It has no connection whatsoever with the National Statistician, the 2011 Census or the Office for National Statistics.

We believe the links in the email could download malware to any computer where the user clicks on the links. This could put your personal data, including financial information, at risk.

Anyone receiving this, or similar emails, should delete them, not open any links and certainly not provide any information.

ONS takes the protection of personal census information extremely seriously. Collection of census data was completed last year and no further requests will be forthcoming from the Office for National Statistics relating to the 2011 Census.
